Richard Alan Engineering is delighted to welcome on board the World Skills UK Apprentice of the Year, Chris Hanson.
Chris, 20, began his career in engineering by pursuing Fabrication Welding at Bradford College. Having developed impressive skills in a short amount of time, Chris was chosen to enter a regional Engineering Apprentice competition in Manchester, an event that Chris has now won twice.
In November, Chris was entered into the World Skills UK Apprenticeship Exhibition in Birmingham and took home top honours in the Advanced Metalwork competition.
Chris said ‘ I’ve always been very hands-on, I knew early on that I wanted to work my way towards being a design engineer. Working for a large company like Richard Alan Engineering is great because I get to mix with a large number of people and pick up new skills and techniques along the way. ’
Chris will be representing Team UK in the World Skills International competition in Sao Paulo next year. Everyone at Richard Alan Engineering and the Richard Alan Group would like to welcome Chris on board and wish him every success.
