The Richard Alan Group has taken part in an event by Leeds City Region LEP to celebrate local apprentices and encourage more businesses to make apprenticeships available.
Representing one of West Yorkshire’s most enterprising and fastest growing SMEs, Managing Director Mr Robert Johnson along with Human Resources Manager Claire Westerman and Richard Alan Engineering Apprentice Alex Rawson were invited to meet His Royal Highness the Duke of York as he visited the Leeds City Region.
The visit marks the beginning of Apprenticeship Week 2014. This week and the awareness it generates is particularly important to the Richard Alan Group, who take on apprentices wherever possible, to train and develop the next generation of Engineering minds. Learning a trade alongside experienced professional, particularly in Engineering is one of the best ways to learn and helps develop key skills that cannot be taught in a classroom. Additionally, Apprenticeships offer invaluable benefits not only to the apprentices taken on, but also to the businesses, who gain committed and motivated trainees.
The Richard Alan Group endeavours to open up more Apprenticeship opportunities throughout 2014.
